Default Just wondering

Just wondering how my General Hammer build pars up with the fine fine people of GWguru. And I'm not sure how to use the "make your skillbar look like a skillbar on the forums thingie" so please bear with me.

Note1: I do not have any rank in GWEN titles YET so please leave GWEN PvE only skills out of suggestions. I DO have R8 Sunspear though which is good enough for whirlwind I believe. And I do Not plan on getting any higher then R4 luxon since even though it can be farmed, it takes too long for my attention span.

Note 2: It doesn't have any Awsome Synergies with my heroes but just incase you are wondering, I have Morghan with Their on fire/Anthem of flame build. Sousuke with SF to help morghan and do great damage, and 1 optional.

Armor
Max Survivors +2 str (Because I am using runes from the loot this warrior finds and I haven't found a minor yet) and +1+1 Hammer (I switch out headgear for different weapons and gloves for different STR or Tact FYI)

Enraging Charge
"For Great Justice"
Devastating Hammer
Crushing Blow
Mighty Blow
Whirlwind Attack
Lions Comfort
Sunspear Rez Sig.

My strategy is to run for the Support mobs (Monks, Rits etc) And KD with my 2nd attack since the first is used for +8 or w/e adren gain...I think its +10 since the First swing + 4 x2 but I've been wrong before. Anyways I jsut spike the support before he can get up and do anything then I wail on w/e is the most dangerous in that area.

I've been thinking of using Skull crack but I currently Like Dev hamemr because of KD + deepwound + weakness is pretty useful. And I can always bring a ranger with BroadHA or something. Or is Earthsaker more usefull in most areas.

What do you think? Is it fine as is or some minor changes or HUGE changes?

[Enraging Charge]["For Great Justice"][Devastating Hammer][Crushing Blow][Mighty Blow][Whirlwind Attack][Lions Comfort][Sunspear reb]

While I have little to say about your build, the BBCode is used by just enclosing all your skills in brackets --> [skill name]

Spelling counts, and if you want to get real fancy, here is a link: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10277633

Since you've got Prophecies and you appear to enjoy the KD, I would suggest switching [Devastating Hammer] to [Earth Shaker].

All in all though I'd say you're doing just fine.

Could do with an IAS ([[Flail] is good for PvE) since Hammers have a high base damage and the increase in attack speed will help pump out even more damage. Flail, even though it reduces your speed, can be great for Hammers as you can use the Knockdown to keep your foe near you. Build itself otherwise looks pretty sound.

I have to go cap it, thats the ONE warrior elite I don't have yet lol, but it won't take long. So you think I should just bring a necro with the AoE weakness then? Or do you find weakness not that important.

Stance. For 5..13..16 seconds, you attack 33% faster but move 33% slower. (Attrib: Strength)

The ONLY problem I have with Flail is that even though I CAN keep them near with me KD...I only have ONE KD skill. And when I'm done with one mob sometimes the others are further away and annoys me. Reminds me of the days I used to use Dolyaks signet before the + armor cap thing. Do you have an estimate of how much extra damage I'll be using?

Oh, weakness is great, by no means am I underestimating it. I might just be used to always having [Enfeebling Blood] flying around though. If you're finding weakness to be too good to pass up, stick with what you've got - or bring a necro hero.

And like Celestial Beaver said, Flail is as good an IAS as you're going to find.

[Mokele Smash] is good in any hammer's bar. It's like hammer version of Dragon Slash. IMHO, weakness is best applied through non-elite skill such as [Pulverizing Smash] or [Staggering Blow] to save your elite slot for a better option.

My favorite hammer bar in PvE is [Mokele Smash] [Earth Shaker] [Pulverizing Smash] [Club of a Thousand Bears]

Surely its [earth shaker] loves [flail] loves [Grasping earth]?

P.S. Your build looks fine as it is. If you are worried about the self-snare from flail try [Tiger stance] I use it quite a bit, its just an easy going PvE IAS.

One of the best 'first time' builds someone has posted here, that much is clear

I like the double knock chains myself, [Devastating Hammer] [Crushing Blow] [Heavy Blow] and the like(shaker>crush>bash is nice too). I'd take mighty out for heavy and you have one of the best bars for a hammer.

Dev hammer is nice but i find my liking to be this build

[build=OQASE5JPiFwySJwKA4rG2rC]

you can keep groups KDed forever with it. If also been testing with some other things like [brambles] with this build, always fun :P

Alright I'ma go cap earth shaker and use that. I can just give a necro Enfeebling blood or something. Now hows this for a Sword build?

Same equipment but with swordmanship mods instead of hammer

[Warrior's Endurance][Power Attack][Savage Slash][Counterattack][Wild Blow][Final Thrust][Signet of Strength][Sunspear Rebirth Signet]

I'm only using this for sword atm because I have not gone to Factions yet to get the nice Elites, and I'm not too fond of Hundred Blades. Maybe if HB was unblockable but atm, it just doesn't do anything for me.

Suggestions? It does good damage with power attack spams and wild blow for stance canceling ^_^

Personally I'd want deep wound and an IAS. I guess Warrior's Endurance with Power Attack spam is... well, ok, but I really do recommend either sever/gash or Body Blow combined with Weaken Armor on that necro you talked about.

Terrible to be honest.

Needs DW and an IAS.

[sever artery][gash][sun and moon slash][flail][enraging charge][no skill][no skill][no skill]

Fill the elite with whatever.
